Celebrate fall with your family at the Columbus Farmers Market Fall Festival to be held at Rowdy’s Rustic Moose Lodge, Thursday, October 18. Our market vendors will be set up, offering autumn goodies straight from the farm. Enjoy a delicious and warm chili and cinnamon roll supper inside the unique lodge Delbert and Sheryl have lovingly outfitted, then listen to the beautiful sounds and stories of the Long Ago String Band from Mt. View, Arkansas. The band includes former residents Lloyd and Joyce Woods. Instruments featured are mountain and hammered dulcimers, autoharp, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, accordion, and concertina, along with close vocal harmonies. There will also be games outside, along with numerous photo spots perfect for snapping a pic of the whole family. Children will have fun painting pumpkins with the crew from the Columbus Public Library, and all ages can warm up by the campfire while making a yummy s’more. Local t-shirt business, Team Threads, will be offering special pink Titan tees, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for $10. Get yours to wear to the Pink-Out Titan Football game the following night. All profits from the shirts are being donated to the Mercy Hospital Columbus Mobile Mammogram uniit, which will be on display at this event.
